Welcome aboard Legacy, a 1989 Catalina 42 MK 1. Everything about this boat is the perfect blend of performance and luxury. She is a cruiser, designed for long-term live aboard with ample space and comfortable living. She is also fast, which makes passage-making go swiftly. At just under 5ft of draft, she can anchor almost anywhere – but the wing keel provides control into the wind.

Coming aboard you are greeted in an expansive cockpit that still gives you a snug feeling while underway. All sail handling is led aft to the cockpit. The captain’s chair at the helm provides comfort and view. The dinghy davits and solar panels are aft above the sugar scoop.

Forward on deck the stays are all lead inboard to allow for easy movement. The new stackpack for the main protects the new sail while gives a quick method to clean up after the day. Continuing forward the two electric bikes are stowed on either side, along with the foldable davits for paddle boards. All the way forward is the windlass and bow locker.

Going below you enter into the massive main cabin. To port is the navigator’s station. Just forward of this area is the comfortable seating and dining area. On starboard is a head with shower. Forward and centerline of the boat is the galley.

Continuing forward is the owner’s cabin with island queen bunk on the port side and stowage on the starboard. All the way to the bow is the forward head, separate shower, and access to the chain locker and windlass components.

The Yanmar 44 HP engine is access behind the ladderway from the cockpit. On either side of the ladderway are two aft staterooms that can be used for storage or sleeping.
